I want a new mobile. I'm currently paying 60+ a month for a contract phone. It's the Samsung tocco and not even the lite version.

The contract is due to end soon so what phone should I choose next as I have no idea.

I was looking at the Iphone but the contracts are crap. I need unlimited texts and internet. I'm not bothered about minutes because I hardly ring anyone. The highest amount of texts on a plan i've seen is 500 a month. It's no good because I send upwards of 200 texts a day.

I also looked at the Blackberry Bold 9700. Haven't ever had or used a blackberry so just wondering what peoples opinions are of them. The best tariff on that is 300 minutes 3000 texts and unlimited internet and email for £30 a month which isn't bad.

Are there any other phones to look at. The palm pre is out but been told not to get it until a few more model updates etc etc.

I'm on O2 and my £30 contract gets me 600 minutes, 1000 texts and whatever bolt on I want (I choose unlimited web). I think you can choose unlimited texts as one of those bolt ons. Not sure but I think on a £25 contract you can choose a bolt on, but if you want an expensive phone you will have to pay for it.

Are you texting people on the same network? If you're sending 200 texts a day to your family etc it might be worth getting them on the same network so you can text them for free and have texts left over for people on other networks.

What is unlimited data exactly. I understand the unlimited part but not the data part.

I really need unlimited internet and texts. I text a whole range of networks its all I do.

Unlimited data is unlimited internet. However it's generally not unlimited. There is a fair use limit, but you'll probably find it very hard to reach unless you use your phone's internet on a computer.

I don't like talking to people on the phone so if anything needs sorting it's done by text. I'm up and out the house by 7 in the morning and in and out all during the day. I'm texting as soon as I get up my first text goes out at 06:15 and the last one probablys about 01:00. I text my gf alot because we spend quite a bit of time apart even thought we live together. I have alot of close friends and I text alot for work too. Alot of time is spent on my arse in a car doing nothing so it cures boredom lol.

im on Orange with my iphone, 42 pound a month for 600 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited internet, the reason you don't see an option for unlimited texts on the page, is because its a "bolt on"

Went in today to get a blackberry. Surprised

They wouldn't give me one. Sad

Fucking credit rating. Embarassed

They did offer me a sim only contract which I have given to my girlfriend. Its £20 a month but if I pay it for the next 3 months they'll let me walk in and get a full contract with a phone too.

Its better than nowt.

Don't go into the shop, you'll get a much better deal over the phone - if you're on a £60 a month contract just now they'll give you the same texts/minutes/data you're on just now with the iPhone. O2 did the exactly that for my mate, but in the shop the answer was point blank 'can't be done'.
