Dont put the sm wheels in the bin, send them to me instead!
Any details on what was required to get them fitted, especially the rear?

Regarding the wheels, this is what the previous owner wrote on his project thread on CRM250.com

Quote:
rear wheel is from a cagiva 125[which can be fitted on a budget with just new bearings and 4 axle spacers + 6 10mmspacers for the brake disc]this leaves the wheel off to the left by 4mm,I was fussy and had 4mm taken off disc side which reduced spacers from 10mm to6mm + 4mm spacers for the sprocket.front wheel could of been a cagiva wheel also but it would need to be fitted backwards [the spokes point the wrong way]but I went for a cbr600 front same as[vfr4,cbr4] its the same style as the cagiva rear ,there are subtle differences but unnoticable once painted the same.I went for chrome powder coat.some nsr125 wheels are also the same style on the front+ there 320 discs line up better with a crm250/xr supermoto conversion bracket for the caliper.nsr125 wheel does take a 100x70 tire but its skinney rim does make it look to thin.the cbr one does take a 120x60 tire but only a110x60 will fit safely between the forklegs.only prob ,I had to fit a redrilled back to front fitted cagiva disc and space with washers the caliper by 4mm.this was fine for 4 months riding but I did get a custom made wavy disc made,a 320mm wide flat disc with centre holes for a cbr6 ,£100 all in from stealth discs.lines up perfect and no need to space caliper.only bodge is the inner bolt that holds your fork gaurd has to be removed + alittle piece of plastic because the disc bolts just rubs by a few mm's .your other two bolts should be enough to hold the guard, although I did use a jubilee clip and part of an electicians earth clip to create another bolt hole just a little higher on the guard ,I'm fussy like that. Smile

Thats about the pinnicle of 2 stroke supermotards IMO! It looks so classy and neat with one of Honda's much better levels of build quality compared to some of their bikes too!

Wicked fun tool i would imagine, and the equal of any sub 450cc 4 stroke road going motard easily i would say too!

When i see an awesome bike like that, it makes me think what i should ideally be able to buy myself, but seeing as CRM AR prices are well out of my budget, then it's back to reality for me which is a garage full of scabby KMX200 shaped parts, and just about enough cash to put them together into something vaguely resembling a supermoto thats not very super!

LOL Mr. Green

Your bike looks like it'd be fun and you've done a nice job on it but I don't want it...

As for that abortion on ebay Sick

Why would I want a bored out 125 with L plates and nasty "streetfighter" style headlight?

Made me laugh TBH, the seller saying that because it's registered as a 125 still, that you could ride it on a CBT!

Can you imagine a fresh learner who has just wobbled through the cones on a CG125 and got their certificate, getting on a tuned 40bhp razor sharp 2 stroke motard? Shocked

Would be fun to watch, but the poor rider would end up a terrified bag of nerves, or much much worse!
