So I've just had my 1st xmas card handed to me at work by someone I hardly know. This woman seems to take it upon herself every year to write a card to everyone in the office simply writing her name in the top of the card and the recipients name in the bottom of the card. Completely devoid of personality, a pointless waste of paper and ink, and I just don't understand why she does it! Confused
We've both been in the company 10+ years, she's a LOT older than me and must be retiring soon. There's lots of employee's come and gone inbetween and regardless of who she knows and doesn't know these cards get sent out every year to all.

Do you know anyone who does this, or even do it yourself?

Weird... Laughing

I am not a Christian and I hate Christmas however.....
I spent four hours today designing my card and I will spend another ten hours making over the week. My cards are original and I know people enjoy them enough to keep them from year to year.
I will post photos of what I do tomorrow night.

The bitch! Put a formal complaint in.

Is it worth her writing "Merry Christmas" when it probably has it printed somewhere anyway? Like you said, she barely knows you. Smile

Well regardless of what 'that' woman at work does I shall not be sending cards around to people I hardly know. I still wish you all a merry xmas though! Wink

P.S The money saved from not buying/sending cards does of course go towards a charity instead...

As promised my cards.
I design them in a CAD program and laser cut from card.

I get a kick from designing them and making the first one or two but I have 20 to assemble in the morning Sad .
What I like is trying to think in 3D as I map the parts out on a PC and imagine how the pieces will interact with each other.
I had to hide all the rude donkeys in case the Y7 kids find them Mr. Green
