 |
|
Hi all, I am new to motorcycles after years of working on classic cars. I have recently purchased a trio of Suzuki GP100s. I have a carb issue with one bike and have tried to refer to the other two for a resolution but they are earlier models and have a different carb.
The bike I have the issue with is a 1986 model which someone abandoned an engine rebuild on. I have fitted a newly built engine which came with the bike but am unsure to which pipe fits where on the carb. There are two larger brass inlets of the left of the carb body, one points straight up and one at a 45 degree angle. Behind these is a smaller inlet which I assume is the oil feed? The right hand side of the carb has two overflow hoses still in situ, I assume these are just contained within the casing and dont connect to anything on the other end? I hope this makes sense! Got the new motor bolted in, wired up etc just need now to do the final set up, put some oil in and it should be away again!
Thanks for your help in advance! |

On the inlet on the left, labelled 'fuel' on your picture, I have another inlet of the same bore below it but at 90 degrees to the carb body rather then 45 as the higher inlet is set. Also on mine, the oil feed pipe is behind the upper left hand fuel inlet rather than being on the right hand side of the carb? Will take a pic tomorrow and post it up
Many thanks for your help |

This is the carb I have, obviously this is a rear shot of it. You can see on the right hand side of this pic, the two larger bore pipes I mean, obviously the small pipe entering the carb mouth is the oil pipe and the overflows are on the other side of the carb so what is this mystery second large pipe? (One at a 45 degree angle and one at 90 degrees? |
