Well i've been on the YZF750R for a little over a month now, and sadly its now down and out.

So this morning i've managed:

To lose 5ncb (since i was 16)
To write-off my bike
and smash up the backend of a mini

The weatherman was correct for once.

Pictures to follow....

Nick

I've ridden in 26years all thickness of snow and ice, still staying sunny side up, Luck has a little to play with it, but thinking ahead and riding to the conditions is the biggest reason.

Sorry, I'll wait for a paint diagram to confirm.

But I was meaning ice, can't see it most of the time therefore little you can do to prevent a spill unless you ride at 10mph and never get to your destination.

If getting to your destination requires you to do 10mph on the ice, then you do 10mph, simple, or does doing 130mph and not getting anywhere except the hospital seem a better option?
In poor weather you drive at the speed that keeps you upright, no point in going faster and making a mess of your pride and joy.

If you're needing to 10mph to get through the ice, then you should be in a car Razz

Sorry to hear Nick.H
It's never fun to have an off. Especially if your pride and joy gets written off Sad

Sorry to hear that, I bet your not at all happy about loosing your NCB. How many NCB do you have to have before you can get 'protected'?

Bummer. At least no injuries, I hope (you didn't specify).

My cul-de-sac was an ice rink this morning, but the main roads were ok.

Another bonus is you won't be able to ride in the snow tomorrow and bin it like the rest of us will. I expect the Spill Counter to take a beating over the next 48 hours. Smile

I'm fine, just bruises. I could of been prevented, but i wasn't as prepared as i should of been for the ice.

https://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn9/nick-hall/paint234324.jpg

Theres the paint image. The blue square is a waiting mini, and I'm the black. The gray dashed line being the direction of the slide (left to right). So basically i was coming along the rode and saw that the mini was waiting to let people across the bridge. I start to slow down, as i touch the brakes the front wheel goes underneath me and i watch as my bike slide away from me it slams into the back of the mini.

Well its all sorted now. The bike that is, fairing is all off, and the clocks/headlight/front indicators have been bodged back on. I'll get a picture in a bit.

Heres the damage:

Why shouldn't he be on a bike?

I know I'd rather be in my car on a freezing cold icey morning. Why on earth would I want to risk smashing up my bike?

So should I not be on a bike either?! Confused Rolling Eyes
