My VFR project - paint ideas wanted

I have had my Honda VFR400 nc30 (future classic me thinks) since i was 20 and although she is an absolute state now i plan to do a full ground up build with lots of la de da parts. And those that know me know it means lots of money and time being an@l about the smallest thing will be spent.

I know what i am going to do mechnically to the bike but am quite stumped as to what bodywork/paint to give her.

Ideas and/or photoshop skills would be helpful, give it a bash if you have the time.
The frame and wheels are def going black and the front forks going gold (ohlins).

I was thinking maybe something like the rothmans paint scheme as i love the classic racer look.

Attempting an imitation race rep paint scheme will devalue it as a classic.

Even if you go for the original colours though, it'd need to be a damn good job to keep it desirable.

I went through a few design stages before I arrived at my final chosen paint scheme.

My brief was quite particular - 2 colours following the lines of the bike as closely as possible, still retaining the retro 'blockiness' of the fairings, but incorporating some newer elements to the design (such as the Honda wing).

I think 2 maybe 3 colours is the way to go, a race rep scheme could be rather too pricey.

I followed your thread from the beginning in its Tyga stage, real nice bike you have there craigs23. Kind of inspired me to do mine rather than just break it.

I second that you just restore it to the RC30 replica colours.

I wouldn't have an NC30 any other way unless it was cheap.

sorry for the noob comment, but did you do the CAD model in plain white? RWB original 89 colour scheme is best!

I always preferred these colours as I don't think they ever date.
