Hi, need some help with my exhaust! Basically, when i bought the bike it was in this state, and im now looking to sell it.
How can i get rid of the remaining rust? Ive used steel wool to get rid of most of it but this stuff is stubborn and not coming off. Is it a case of sanding off all the rust then respraying it a chrome/aluminium colour. I know this wont match the original colour but if i spray the whole thing it will at least look better than it does now.

Cheers! |

Autosol is a mild abrasive like Brasso.
It should get rid of the rust, if it doesn't then you're doing it wrong. |

Autosol and wirewool is the way forward.
Works really well, got all the dirty bits off my chrome and even the bits that looked a bit dull it was cleaning them up really well.
If you apply an the area that looks clean and buff of with a clean white rag, it gets off loads of muck you couldn't even see very easily bringing it up to a lovely shine.
I can't compare it to other products as I've never used anything else, but then again, never needed to. |
