I think you are likely to get a slightly biased opinion on this forum as the *majority of people own or have owned an NSR at some point.

Personally I like mine, it is reliable - reasonably (besides the odd few tantrums), pretty quick for a 125 and I like the looks too (when its all in one piece...Sad )

You might as well get an NSR mate... Anna beat me and Tin back to RnB when they'd picked me up by about 10 minutes, say no more Very Happy

Goose, most of us missed the Scoot stage:)
The NSR125 is a great learner bike, and a great second bike if you commute.
I'm not too keen on the NC30 now. I looked at 4 or 5 and they all seem overpriced and the paintwork doesn't seem to fare too well over the years. The best in my eyes were the Kwak 400's (I know!!! I'm a Honda man too but they can wait till the 600's+). The Yams looked loverly but were a little cramped. The Suzukis (mine included) last quite well and run middle of the range. Also the CBR400's are sexy machines!!

yeah, any 400 sports will do me

ZXR4 would be great, but not many cheap ones about

im not gettin a 125 no point, after everything everyone has said

just come talk to G, Tin, TJ, Zimm, Korn

anyone, they will tell you how quickly you want another bike

plus 125 cost more to maintain, im sick of 2 stroke costs

Right, ok, my bottom line:

If you intend to do your test (or have already passed it), then I reckon that it would be better to look for a nice second hand 400/600.

If, however, you intend to live on your CBT for a little while, then by all means get an NSR.

Also, if you intend to get a brand new NSR, bear in mind that insurance may be around the same as that of an older bigger bike.

MY OPINION (DONT BE ANGRY PPL)

ok personally i dont like the nsr, but tat dont mean u wont like it!!!

firstly its tooooo small for me, im tall and arms are tooo long and legs are tooo long so on long journeys its uncomfortable (goose will tell ya tat)

secondly positions all wrong: pegs are way too low and handle bars are too low and round corners i tend to scrap my pegs tooo much.

thirdly ive got an import and its fukin slow only does 85 tops (powers ok thou!) BUT WATEVA U DO DONT GET AN IMPORT - u cant derestrict em!!

thats the bad points...

good points: its nice reliable and suitable for learners and dont loook too bad
