Hi,

I have a small dilemma. I need a new gear lever for my Ducati 748 a new genuine lever is ridiculously expensive and I would like something a bit tarty.

I have been looking at Pazzo and ASV levers.

I cant decide whether to get shorty levers or standard length. The Duc's clutch is heavy. I have grily hands and although I can manage no problem with the standard length levers dose anyone have any experience with the shorty ones as I have never used them.

My question is is there much of a difference when using the shorty ones, will it be heavier/more strain to use?

Many Thank yous in advance.

I had the short Pazzos on my Blade and they required quite a bit more effort than the standard ones. Mine were kind of hooked at the end, which made things easier, but I have big hands anyway. I'm not sure they'd be a good idea if your hands are small and not particularly strong.

Cool, now the next dilemma is Pazzo's or ASV's?

I can't speak for the ASVs, but my Pazzos were top notch. Thumbs Up

I had CRG's on my Ninja. I bought them second hand and sold them on again when I sold the bike. They were still like new.

CRGs are good but I could see no discernible difference in quality between them and the Pazzos, and the Pazzos were considerably cheaper.

The Pazzo levers i've seen are all around £140.... which is an expensive bit of bling if you end up not getting on with em.
Titax levers are a bit cheaper at around £115.
Or you can buy the copy's from Hong Kong on e bay for 40/45 quid. They look identical to Pazzos.

Surely a lever is a lever? A commonly used phrase by G... sorry Princess Sunshine springs to mind and that is

JFRI

Just fking ride it!

I can understand sticking on tarty suspension, brakes, engine parts... but I've never ever felt the need to replace the levers on my bikes with anything other than a £4 adjustable pattern lever from Busters...

Maybe thats just me.

I think these levers are more about looks than anything else...... but they do look damn cool.

I must admit it is partly about looks but i also like the fact that you get a garentee with pazzo and the arv's. I cant put anymore extras on as as standard it already has them so i thought why not. Also i need the adjustment Smile

I got shorty pazzos for tart factor, I like them, but I would recomend the bigger ones for girly hands thought it does make it harder to pull in the clutch.

I have a set of copy Pazzos from Ebay. I have compared them to the wifes real Pazzos and they're identical visually. Mine were a very snug fit and seem really good so far, well worth £45 for the pair.

I also had some (sold them to Chris/Sugartits). How you getting on with them?

They were black short ones and feel so much better to break with (felt much firmer).

mmmmmmmmmm

A lever for your bike is less than £30 probably less than £20. Pazzo's cost a fair bit more.

Thing is that nobody would think twice about buying a pattern copy of a standard lever from Busters, yet they'll all be made in china too. Yet people will argue that a copy pazzo like yours risk terrible alloy quality and may snap off in your hand Laughing No different from any other pattern lever. If you want a Pazzo or CRG buy a cheapo copy, if you like wasting money and being able to tell everyone you have the 'Real McCoy' then buy Pazzos.
