Just got a quote from a local company £500 which includes:

Day 1 - 1 day riding
Day 2 - Module 1 training
Day 3 - Module 1 exam
Day 4 - Module 2

Does that seem like a good price? It was supposed to be £690 for 4 days but managed to get a little off because I've already done my CBT and only wanted 3 days because I'm skint! Sad

Seems pretty good to me if that includes test fees (the school makes no profit on these). It sounds even better if that includes use of their bike, kit and fuel.

£15.50 Mod 1

£75 Mod 2

Test fees = £90.50

An instructor for four days at £80 a day = £320

So £410.50 already, without taking into account the depreciation on their bikes, fuel for the instructor (and you possibly), overheads such as rental for lockups and CBT site, and the killer insurance bill.

Sounds like you've got a great deal to me. Go for it Thumbs Up

Well, £500 for three days is a good price. But have you considered that you may very well fuck it up and have to pay for another day's lesson and bike hire and another test, if you fail? I think there's a fair chance that it'll come to more than £190... If I were you, I'd budget for more tuition. More than anything, the instructor will automatically have you down as 'I know how many lessons I need to pass'... Catch my drift...?

I paid £525 for my 3 day course a couple of years back, I already had my Cbt at the time and of course the theory test had to be taen before any tuition. Two days of training and the test was on the morning of the third day, which I suppose wasn't actually three days training in the end, but it was a pass nonetheless. As said above its best to also have additional money just in case something goes wrong and you need a restest.

Price included bike hire, fuel and kit if required. fortunately I had my own gear already. Not a big fan of wearing a used helmet, god knows how many sweaty foreheads its seen. Laughing

Very reasonable in my opinion, I paid £450 all in for 2 days plus the test on the third morning 3 years ago.

Have a good day mate, and all the best. Thumbs Up
