Thai isn't my favourite take away but I have just had the best Pad Thai ever ! I'm a self-confessed takeaways and fast food junkie and with the prices being so cheap....it is no wonder that the country has an obesity problem.
I'm stuffed but I can still murder a kebab with loads of garlic mayo

How much does yours costs Yun? I find takeaways ridiculously expensive, for what i eat anyway. I spent £30 a week on shopping so £10 for one meal that last 5 minutes is a waste. But i can't help it. |
Thai tonight costed Hubby:
Starter:
Sharing platter (spring rolls, prawn toast, stuffed chicken wings, won-ton, fish cake
Sea food spicy salad
Main:
x2 coconut rice
1 Pad Thai
1 Beef Green curry
1 Deep fried spicy duck
Dessert:
1 Sticky red bean rice
1 Thai pancake with ice-cream
3 diet cokes
= £33.10
BARGAIN

I would never go to a chinese restaurant because I can get the stuff for free so I can never justify paying!
FYI: Lemon chicken is literally battered chicken with thickened lemon squash....FACT ____________________ Meet the team that will win, Blade, Razor, Blazer and my personal assistant, Michelle and from Romanovia - Fran Stalinovskovichdavidovitchsky

I wouldn't consider that a bargain, £33 would feed me for a week!
My fav is chicken jalfrezi with pilau rice and peshwari naan with baajis and a few popodums to start with, that costs me less than a tenner delivered ____________________ Past: '96 Thundercat, '02 ZX636R (A1P), '58 KTM 690 SM LC4 Current: '06 ZX636R (C6F)

£33 is a bargain?, when you could make it all yourself in under an hour for less than a tenner? er,ok.
If you think takeaway food is cheap youre a mug.
I wish you lot knew what goes on behind closed doors in takeaways, if you did none of you would ever buy anything ever again.
Enjoy it if it tastes good though... |

trevoriv - that does sound like a bargain.
chicken jalfrezi with pilau rice and peshwari naan with baajis and a few popodums here would defo be more than £10.
But we ate in this time, 3 fully loaded 3 course meal with drinks and 4 boxes of t/away as we couldn't finish - hence bargain to us, especially living near London.
Devils Advocate - we do know what goes on behind closed doors. My husband typically owns 2 chinese restaurants himself, plus the Thai restaurant we went today had an open kitchen so there isn't much to hide.
£33 to feed 2 peeps for 2 days is pretty good considering we couldn't cook it half as good as they can, no washing up - the ultimate convenience! ____________________ Meet the team that will win, Blade, Razor, Blazer and my personal assistant, Michelle and from Romanovia - Fran Stalinovskovichdavidovitchsky

I take it you complained about their food/service?
Anyone remember that McDonald's story. This woman got really ill from eating a big mac. She got it tested and there were 4 different specimens of jizz on her burger
That put me off going mc'ds for about a week and I was back on it ____________________ Meet the team that will win, Blade, Razor, Blazer and my personal assistant, Michelle and from Romanovia - Fran Stalinovskovichdavidovitchsky
