None of the online multi quoters, confused.com etc ... have an option for bike locked indoors ... ?
If you were to put locked garage as a result, would that be OK and or would it invalidate a claim ... ... ?
Also, are you still insured for wherever you lock your bike up, mainly travelling or staing at freinds etc ... ?

Right, heres where the bike can go now, it's a hallway in front of my flat front door ... it has an excess door to the garden for the other 3 tennants, which they may use in the near future having watched me do all the work in tackling the prevoiusly five foot garden and saving landlord thousands of pounds, they were quoted between 10 - 14 grand for it to be sorted ... the area is not officially part of my flat, and my Landlord representative will tell me when the safety expections are in order so i can have it clear at that time ..

Anyway, i'm getting a R N G bike cover (best in tests) and can put the bike in the garden and during the winter months of less usage i could stick it in the hallway ...
Your right about no insurance, as it was not worth it, but over the last year or so and in the near future it shall be worth it, and i'm looking into it, as now and soon i shall have a few thousand pounds worth of gear i would not like to use.
My flat is at the back, with my own backdoor excess to the garden, of which i shall be putting up some warning signs because of dog and security paint .. tallied with a almax series 3 chain and anchor. then i cant do much more than that really ...
Any home insurance recommendations welcome, i shall try confused . com ..

If it's a rented property then the landlord will have buildings insurance and that's what you could be invalidating by keeping your bike inside so you should check with them.
Keeping the bike in a shared hallway is unlikely to go down well with any of the other residents.
Home insurance recommendations, I've used Prudential previous and they were good with no hassle when claiming. Am with M&S now because they're better priced and the policy details are better. |

Well let me elaborate, the bike will go in the hallway in winter, there's loads of room for fire escape .. as a last result if i'm told to move it i will ...
I've just moved a snake viv and 2 large shelves out of there, inc about a dozen coat hooks that were choca with coats and bags etc ....
The garden quotes were ridiculous, and that whole saga dragged on .. i'm still waiting on the refund for the hedge trimmer i purchased, thats a year ago now ...
The landlords are to busy sending out customer satisfaction forms and phoning tenants up to ask how the service is .. instead of doing the service their banging on about, as a result i do most things myself ...
The landlord rep told me that after the inspection due very soon, it's not for another year .. wink, wink ...
He basically told me i would be fine till next year after this inspection .....
If i get told to move bike then i will, no bother, but i will chance it to start with, and can plead ignorance or say i was polishing it there as the weather was to bad to do it outside ... being a 125cc helps aswell ...
With regards the garden, instead of doing some legwork and getting some competitive quotes, they got quoted thousands, and hinted that they may have to put the service charge up ...
It's funny seeing the posters in the main hallway stating there continued commitment to do ... blab, blah ...
Anyway judge Jules is on and i've got an elevated snake home to create .. ____________________ Flip Wrote: You're a bloke, you don't need kids. You need a vehicle, someone to shag, a dog and a shed. AKA Cuntdudes life and ambition ... A ++

Well, there's a door between the bike hallway and the main hallway, they never use it .... talking of doors, i've took a total of three off from within the flat !!! ..
It's down as a flat, but it's add-on at the back of a terrace house, on two floors, ground and first ...
The bikes going in the hallway in the depths of winter, not started up or anything .... but thanks for the concern ...
Maybe in a few months or next year, if still around BCF as i've limited myself to 100 login names, i may post back saying your right, i hadto move it ...
And i would only buy a house outright, and thats after a Truimph Street Triple R, and tons of other stuff, so it's a long shot to say the least .. !!
And learn gardening, hold your fucking horse .. ffs ... CBT first .. !

As has already been said storing the bike inside is a no no, more so due to it being a multi person residence. It will invalidate the insurance held on the building and causes access problems and a fire risk.
Why not just buy a shed or a metal bike storage box and stick it in the garden?
Its not just the possibility of your neighbours complaining that you should be worried about, it is the fact that you are placing them in potential danger....the fact that this does not seem to register with you does explain why you have required so many user names ____________________ Fallen Angel "Nae sniffing my seat now!!!!! Noted, and Kwaks don't come the cunt, i've asked on here to get the correct advice and way forward .. as i do with most things ... and now i realise it's not such a good idea after all ... the area will be used now for workspace, now the Viv has gone, and after the safety inspection i'll put the coat racks/hooks back up ...
Thanks to those who helped with the legalitys of it .. ____________________ Flip Wrote: You're a bloke, you don't need kids. You need a vehicle, someone to shag, a dog and a shed. AKA Cuntdudes life and ambition ... A ++

Yeah, of course it is your thick twat, it's cuntdudes thread after all, and i could put the bike in the hallway, it's not going to blow up ....
It's only when a number of people have said what they have said that i take note ... if one or two people say something i don't automatically think, yeah i'll do what they say .. ffs ... ____________________ Flip Wrote: You're a bloke, you don't need kids.
