i got these gold USD forks. not sure what make they are although they do have the cagiva elephant stamped on the bottom but someone mentioned they may be Marzucchi? something like that.

anyway. i took them off today and one of them feels as if there is no spring in it. i have been told before that one fork deal with bound and the other rebound which would explain it. but then i wouldve thought that for uprated forks they would be just like the rest?

anyone know if this is correct? heres a picture. well there would be a picture if it worked....

I told you just take them apart and see if the other springs are similar.

I can confirm that one fork leg definitely inst meant to have a spring in it so you are ok, it sounds weird I know, but look in the manual.
Those forks are off a mk2 mito, the same as my old bike.
That's how they are meant to be believe it or not.

Nope, both forks are the same. Someone is either pulling your leg, or you're trying to pull ours.

The Marzocchi forks on the early RS250s did have different functions on each side. I think there was a spring in one side, with damping stuff in the other, but oil in both sides. It's not that common on motorbikes, but where weight's more of an issue on mountain bikes it's very common.

Because they're well clamped, it shouldn't be an issue having each leg do a different thing.

Ill swap them for a pair of mito evo forks that have the same amount of springyness in each, or cash.

Its for a good cause

ABE do replacement stanchions. Although it would come to close to £200.

All the best

my options at the moment are to mill the evo forks so the wheel fits in line.
