I like both but the racer wins it for me, but, put the exhaust where it is on the top one and loose the gash numberplate hanger... ____________________ Previous Bikes...Honda NSR 125 RR...Kawasaki Zephyr 550...Suzuki SV 1000 S...Yamaha FZ8...Current Bike...Suzuki GSX-R 750... |

You want the low level arrow with no screen, no side panels but a black belly pan. You also want flat bars and not clip ons. ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F

I'd buy that...
Flat bars and a Motorax/Motrax ( I think ) simple numberplate and indicator holder and that'd be the one...Oh Yes... ____________________ Previous Bikes...Honda NSR 125 RR...Kawasaki Zephyr 550...Suzuki SV 1000 S...Yamaha FZ8...Current Bike...Suzuki GSX-R 750... |

Buy whichever YOU prefer. It's you riding it, not us.
Personally I prefer the high cans than the low 'un. ____________________ My Flickr |

I like the last one, that with flat bars rather than clipons.
The street triple is on the cards for my newest big bike

I think you're wasting a good choice of bikes in them two, but each to their own. Underseat can idea is best, as Ad/Marjay said. ____________________ Roger wrote: Women don't get damp for clingy puppies. Nothing you'd like going on them.
I wasn't knocking your choice, just offering a constructive opinion to the other side.
Is it undoubtedly naked you're after?
Perhaps a better Q is, why that choice? ____________________ Roger wrote: Women don't get damp for clingy puppies. Get some better happy pills, hit the gym & buy a medallion the size of a dinner plate. Job done |

Now you're asking.
I really love the cafe racer style:

https://www.motorcycle.com/images/news/113009-norton-commando-caferacer.jpg
https://www.bandabonnisti.it/immagini/moto/SPECIAL/special%20grandi/SPECIAL%20GRANDI%20THRUXTON/thruxton%20eicma.jpg
I really wish I had the money to get the new Norton. But I don't. The other two don't have the performance to live up to the "racer" ideal, cafe or otherwise. So, failing all that, the Street Triple with the right bits seems a good choice.
On the other hand, I kind of fancy the Daytona, but my girlfriend says it's the sort of bike knobs ride (don't laugh!). I kind of half agree - don't flame me, it's just that I don't think I'd suit that multicoloured gimp suit. So the top choice (the "sporty" one) seemed a good compromise to satisfy that desire to own something a bit sharp and modern.
So the side exhaust is necessary for the cafe racer version, whereas the underseat exhausts are necessary for the sporty version.
I just had a thought - does that 3-into-1 Arrow exhaust have "not for road use" stamped on it?
I probably should have come here first for opinions, but as it turns out it's actually my final stop. My girlfriend, friends and even my parents are sick to the back teeth of hearing me go on about "what bike lol". |

Yes I like the look of the Thruxton (I know that's not the Thruxton but the Thruxton's my favourite of all the Bonneville types) but it's just not got the performance - it's a bit fake. |
