This may sound stupid to you lot but what does this mean when it says, "easy to fit - cut & fit about a 60 min job"

Would it not just screw in place of my old one? Plus, would I need to buy mini indicators if I got this?

Might as well get a small plate as well.

I suspect it means you need to take a hacksaw to your old mudguard/numberplate mountings.

hmm, I'm not good with this sort of thing, might order it anyway an get my mate to bodge it on for me.

Whilst we're here, any links for number plates, the small one's that fit on a long, narrow rectangle rather than a square?

I fitted 1 to my 2000 R1 was prity easy, you just cut the back of the old mud gard off an use the bottom bit that holds yr bat,etc under yr tail tidy, try 01995602513 for a small plate thats where i got mine not sure of theyre name tho

i bought one of these from the same seller.

My diy skills are nil, but it is an easy job. Just need a hacksaw and a drill. The only slightly tricky part is making a sttraight cut on the existing mudguard. Drill the holes on the underside for the tidy to attach to and you're done.

And i can vouch for the free haribo...

edit: i did buy some mini indicators as i also bought a smaller numberplate but old standard size should still fit. They may just look odd!

Once you get into it there's no big deal in chopping bits about on your bike. I've had to cut great chunks out of the fairings on my 'busa to make room for the dump pipe, blowoff valve, boots pipe, air filter, exhaust, 2nd radiator etc etc.

Bit nerve-wracking at first but once you realise that even if you make a mistake you can cut a bit more and make it look good there's nothing to it. I use a 4" grinder.
