Has it just got a very flat power delivery then? I seem to recall having a shot on a mate's one about 12 years ago but annoyingly I can't remember what it was like, maybe that's why ____________________ ZX6R + CBR600RR |

The power delivery is indeed more akin to an electric motor than an internal combustion engine When I rode one I kept twatting into the limiter as the engine had no sense of coming on cam or the power dropping off. It did handle rather well though. ____________________ 18:54:48 Rob Fzs: jews don't give away stuff for free

I have one, the suspension is very soft as standard and even worse when knackered. It will ruin what is a pretty good handling bike unless you sort it really.
I fitted a rebuilt shock from an RRSP and it actually made the rear about 3" higher as the old shock was sagging so much and this was on a 16,000 mile bike.
The engine is a little characterless and it sounds a bit whiny at high revs, But its very predictable, you can pretty much just crack the throttle open coming out of a corner and it will just pick up and go, none of this carefully feeding the power on that you have to do on bikes with peaky power deliveries
Although saying that the guy who had mine before me managed to highside it so it can't be that foolproof.
They are apparently a bit of a time bomb if you rev them too much.
I've had mine for 3.5yrs now done touring, trackdays, commuting and the only thing other then servicing and consumables I've had to get was a reg/rec at 21k.
As a guide I paid £1600 for mine in 2006, if had a few scuffs and no history, plus a string of teenage owners but was generally in ok condition.
Have you had a look in the FZR section of 400gb.

I really like the look of them, same with all the 400s of that era for some reason.
I'll have a look on 400gb, I already put a wanted ad up on there. ____________________ ZX6R + CBR600RR |
