Yamaha DT losing water...{is this normal? last post...}

Last time i used it the temp light come on.Turns out it had no coolant.
On closer inspection i noticed the coolant was in the gearbox oil Confused

Am i right in thinking the only thing that would cause that to happen is the waterpump oil seal?

Anyway i changed that today and took it back out and noticed coolant now pissing out of the overflow pipe.
The more i rev the more it comes out.
Took the lid off the radiator and seeing bubbles when i rev the engine.

So head gasket gone? after only 1000 miles (top end rebuild just a few weeks ago using all genuine yamaha gaskets)
If it was the headgasket all along that still wouldn't explain the coolant in the Gearbox oil would it?

When the water pump seal went and it over heated from low coolant it could have then blown the head gasket.

Changed the headgasket today and it popped that one aswell Crying or Very sad

water pissing out of it.

So head must be warped?

Just seems weird how the original gasket blew after just 1k miles 80% of which were only using 1/4 power at most due to running in.

Turns out the water didn't mix with the oil either ( i just assumed by the colour of the oil,then noticed the oil i use is the same'ish colour as my coolant Laughing

) so what caused the head gasket to blow in the first place Evil or Very Mad

Wondering if there's any mistakes that could have been made when the engineer re-sleeved my barrel?

When i first rebuilt the engine i didn't Embarassed

but it was running absolutely perfect throughout the whole run-in process.
There would have been signs before now surely if they weren't fully tight ?

I cranked them right down today when i tested the new gasket and i only did a few miles.

I really don't understand this bloke.Ask pretty much anyone in newcastle about engine work and they ALL send you to this place.
He used to have a race team years ago and is supposed one of the best with 2 strokes.

He didn't even file down the sleeve at the ports when he first fitted it which you'd think should be done as a part of the job!

I'm going to have a word with him about getting some money back for my troubles although i know what his answer will be Confused

Picked it up from the engineer today and he's now got the top of the liner flush,but closer inspection shows this:

Not sure how well you can see that but there is a very small gap in places where the liner meets the barrel?
Should that be there? i would have thought it should be a perfect tight fit all the way round?
