absess in my gum was bad! my whole face swelled up!

worst has to be that, or an ear infection! puts you in a fowl mood, dont wanna work, eatings irritating, you get sick of the sound of your own voice, and you cant watch tv!

one thing that was good about going deaf in one ear was that i only had to use one earplug on the bike Very Happy

Food poisoning, fine when i went to bed & woke up feeling like death. Can't really explain how it feels but it's the worst feeling i've ever felt.

Followed by my first ever toothache a few months back. I didn't know what all the fuss was about but i do now. Laughing

I occasionally get migraines... I can't do anything when I have a migraine. Nothing. Even thinking about doing something hurts more. And then there's the whole aspect of how you also feel sick and you know that at some point you're probably going to have to move to ensure you make it to the bathroom... but contemplating moving is making it all worse. The sickness also means any painkillers you attempt to ingest make your body convulse. Which hurts more.

Self-perpetuating horridness.

Subarachnoid Haemorrhage. Which put a damper on things for a while.

Although I did survive man flu in 1997.

Glandular fever. Throat closed up as tight as a nun's cnut on bath night, and hallucinating for several days. I can still remember the doctor coming out and snipping the back of my throat with some long scissors to drain the poison.
Not the best taste in the world I can assure you.

Stroke, not allowed to ride for 5 weeks, shoulda been 4 weeks but the doctor didn't believe she had the authority to give me the okay despite me showing her the government leaflet I was given at the hospital.

The leaflet said if the doctor said I was okay I didn't have to tell my insurance company and could just start driving/riding again. But if she referred me onto the DVLA I had to wait till they assessed me (long waiting list) and my insurer would have to be informed.

She said she didn't believe it and was going to refer me to the DVLA. I managed to stall her for a week till I could get the hospital to write to her.

On balance though, flu felt worse!

that reminded me!
When i was younger i got really bad migraines, id loose sight in one eye, and all the feeling down my left side! it was awful!
had loads of scans etc, was all fine and thankfully i havnt had one in around 5 years.
I got these things that you fire up your nose called"zomig nasal spray" or zolmitriptan, they look like mini aeroplanes and work a treat, give it 30 mins and its gone!

might be worth looking into if you still suffer from them.

A bad abcess is pretty ridiculously painful, much worse than broken bones, route canal wasn't that bad though, was told that was meant to be bad.

Not sure of worst, but all nasty;

Tachycardia
Burst Ear drum
Gastric flu
Head injury (felt like an axe from the back of my head to the base of one eye)
Influensa (much worse than swine flu)
Food Poisoning (a few times)
Gaul stone passing (bloody hurts - internat agonising cramp)

Long term (15 years) cronic rhinitus/post nasal drip - repeated infections (every 6 weeks). Nasty, but an OP last year seems to have 90% improved it, just hoping it stays that way.

Definitely migraines, the worst pain in the world ever.
I've been getting them regularly for 35 years and i've never figured out why.
Even glandular fever wasn't as bad.

I'm another migraine sufferer. As soon as I start going blind, I know the next few hours will be hell. Banging headache followed by the urge to be sick. I move about just so I can be sick and feel a little better for half an hour Thumbs Down Like Steveh, I also lose the feeling down one side of my body.

Mine are caused by eating too much fat and lack of sleep.

I remember my first ever migraine which was due to lack of sleep on a school trip. I got that little squiggle in my vision and not knowing what it was, thought it was cool Rolling Eyes Laughing I didn't think it was so cool once I was puking up beside the minibus.

Dislocated ribs. Having them popped back in was so uniquely painful it put me into a strangely euphoric high.

Meningitis almost killed me at 17. Got shot in the face with an air gun at 16 and it got lodged in my upper jaw and cost me some bone and a tooth. Got hit with a high velocity round in the leg in 82. went in and came out without hitting the bone and as it was a hard slug it never squashed and did little real damage. The scars are relatively small and I was lucky, they said that if it had hit bone it would have taken my leg off.

Full blown flu some years ago - it exhausted me so much I could hardly walk, and slept downstairs for over a week cos I couldn't get up the stairs. Not much fun.

A dislocated knee as a result of playing rugby wasn't much fun. It's left me with a long-term weakness in the joint.

And most recently, a lung infection / virus that resulted in a severe shortness of breath, and so much coughing that I had to cross my arms because my chest and stomach muscles were strained.

[EDIT] ...and one or two occasions when I've fallen foul of my walnut allergy.... positioning my puffy swollen face over the toilet bow while "driving the porcelain truck" Confused

... oh, and pulling a saucepan of hot milk over my chest and thighs when I was about 6 or 7 years old. I don't remember much about my recovery, but vaguely remember a number of weeks being bandaged up

I'm allergic to artificial sweetner and a few other things so it limits things I can't drink and sometimes eat.

I drink Dr Pepper by the shed load because it's full fat and has no artificial sweetner in it. Anyway one day the shop had no Normal Dr P so I got this new zero stuff not knowing what it was. Drank the whole 2 litre bottle jumped on a metro and started to feel really bad. My head felt like somebody had punched the fuck out of me. I got home went to bed and spend 3 days there in utter agony crying like a little baby. Never done it since.

Well except with bottles of WKD but I've learnt my lesson with them for some reason they make me unable to breath and I nearly pass out lol. (No I don't drink them my gf does and I hate wasteage so sup whats left when we are leaving the pub)

Nasty case of food poisoning Whereupon I simultaneously vomited lasagne out of my nose whilst squirting bum wee into my undercrackers. Was shivering and sweating whilst wrapped up for artic weather and was boiling hot whilst naked with fans blowing on me an it switched between the two every 15 mins or so.

Fell down stairs and through a window when I was 2, 6 stitches in my head.

Pulled a kettle of boiling water off a table and burned all down my arm when I was 3

Broke collar bone when I was 6

Hit by a car when I was 13, cleared the bonnet and bounced of the windscreen and hit a lamp post, 26 stitches in my forehead and 4 on my chin.

I had an interesting childhood! Surprised the social didn't take me away! Laughing
