Hi
They definitely seem to have gone up. Keep an eye on Bimota prices and 2 years ago an SB6R would normally go for around £4k, now they are going for about £6k.
Suspect it is because new bikes have rocketed in price that 2nd hand ones have become more sought after and so gone up in price. Add to that plenty of 2nd hand bikes being exported leading to a reduction in supply.
We have gained from having a hideously over valued pound for quite a few years. Think prices are just going back to a more normal level.
All the best

As I said elsewhere; yes.
The KTM I bought new a couple of years ago now costs 20% more. New models are coming on the market at even higher premiums.
This is all going to push up the second price, as more people go second hand.
I'm glad I've relatively happy with my current 'fleet', though unfortunately it's unlikely any I've got to sell will have appreciated in value . |

I've noticed this too. I'm looking at selling my bike soon and buying another so i have been watching bike prices for a while, they have certainly gone up a bit (or at least not dropped any)
Ebay in particular seems to have very highly priced bikes |

The classified on ebay shows a lot of over priced bikes, but some I have been watching have dissapeared before their time was up so I can only presume they have sold.
Used bike prices are silly.
I went to my local bike shop and they had the busa I really want in their 2nd hand dept. The 2008 in midnight blue with gold wheels
I asked how much £7500 says he
I only paid £6900 for my 2007 brand new (pre reg)
Bugger, I really want that bike, but not at that money. ____________________ Triumph Trophy Launch Edition |

must be an affect of the weak pound.. if you want an eye opener look on the german equivalent of autotrader www.mobile.de, find some bikes like yours and then convert to pounds at todays rate 1 pounds = 1.10 euros
which is why it's getting more common for expats out here to export a bike from the uk |

Hi
With Triumph, a lot of their components are sourced from outside the UK. Brakes, fuel injection, chains, tyres, etc. All these items have gone up.
Also, in many cases prices are not set by what an item costs but rather at what the marketing department think they can get away with (although the item might be designed to a cost that gives them a profit). With competition prices increasing the market will stand an increase.
All the best
