i seem to remember a while ago someone doing a guide on how to repair pitting for fork stanchions. done a few searches for 'fork pitting' and can't seem to find it.

was going to use some metal epoxy or maybe fibreglass resin to fill the holes as they are quite large holes. i have used some nail varnish hardener or something like that before on my old xr125 ad that worked quite well but can't seem to find the stuff. the pitting was only very minor when i repaired them.

Hi

Normal trick is to use Araldite (proper Araldite, not the rapid stuff). Clean the forks up and build some up to fill the pits. Then sand down with very fine wet and dry paper.

All the best

Keith

It's pretty much what I did.
I didn't use a polisher, but I got some VERY fine sandpaper.
And yes, it was Araldite Precision.
