I'm pretty sure they would still be classed as illegal in the UK but they might pass through customs under the guise of truffles, in which case you're laughing.

I went to Amsterdam before and after the ban on 'shrooms and I can tell you what they were selling as mushrooms after the ban were nothing like actual mushrooms (think it was 2007 I went when they were legal). I wouldnt bother with any of that stuff.

Apparently you can buy all the stuff online you need to grow them.

You can buy mushroom growing kits with all the trimmings but you still cannot but the spores with which to propagate the growth of say Cubensis mushrooms, as far as my own searching has turned up anyway.

I think the only way to grow mushrooms successfully would be to go huntin when the season comes around and then try to propagate from those. I shall certainly be trying my hand at mushy hunting this year. One must be careful though, once Reading around mushroom poisoining you realise how serious it can be, to the fact that sometimes you won't realise you ate a bad one till 3 weeks later when your kidneys start to fail .

I,ve been to those shops, but only in person in Amsterdam, In my experience it was quite pricey for what you get.

AFAIK you can buy grow kits for legal mushrooms and buy magic mushroom spores separately. It is only the combination of the two in one magic mushroom grow kit that is illegal.

I could be speaking mince of course.

My older brother has been into the trippy gear for longer than I can remember. About two years ago, a group of them were out picking as they have done for so many years and somebody must of rang the police as a van pulled up next to them which they didn't see coming and my brother happened to be the only one holding a basket with over 200 mushrooms in it.

They arrested him and charged him with possession of the mushrooms (class A). He thought he was alright because the law used to be that, you were allowed to pick mushrooms but as soon as you prepared them, i.e drying them out, they became illegal to posess. Apparently, this law had changed and it didn't matter what state they were in, if you had them in your possession, you were guilty of having class A drugs. Bit fucking stupid if you ask me but after several months, they dropped the case against him and nothing was heard of it.

as far as im aware spores are legal either way if the uk is no good for supply you can import them easily enough.

My area is surrounded with liberty caps, but i don't much like them. copelandia cyanescens are the shit you want, they used to be legal fresh in the dam, but i dunno about now. Have a look online and see if you can find a grow kit / spores
