 |
|
This might be a bit of a noob question but one I havent had before.
If someone contacts me to arrange a viewing on my motorbike should I go ahead with it? I'm not sure what goes on with selling bikes through ebay.
Cheers,

Obviously they might want to come and see it...
I used to ride my bike to a very busy area, such as town giving them the reason "making it easier for them to get to."
Then they arent aware of your actual house and cant arrange to go robbing |

It's perfectly reasonable to - so they can do a HPI style check on it.
Frankly, even if it was someone cloning it (unlikely, I'd say), it's not your problem if you sell it! |

Don't let them test ride without giving you the full asking price in cash as a deposit! ____________________ Previous: 2002 Honda CB500 (sold), 2007 Suzuki SV650SK6 (crashed), 2005 Yamaha FZ6 Fazer (sold). Currently bikeless

There's an easy way out of that one - go buy a different bike.
I have allowed test rides on bikes before but only low-value ones. I wouldn't let anyone test-ride a bike npwadays especially one that was worth anything for many reasons - in case they steal it, smash it (possibly maiming someone else), blow it up or set off speed cameras. You'd find it very difficult to get any money out of someone who decided they weren't going to pay.
If they really must, they could ride pillion for all the good it would do. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'
