Don't think you can but some insurers may take it into account.

You can with direct line and tesco.

You can't use the no claims on both policies though.

EG if you use two years no claims from the bike on your car then you are going back to 0 years no claims on the bike.

You can only transfer it over to a car with a couple of companies though.

found a problem with getting a quote using my bike NCB though.

When i try and get a quote online using the 3 years NCB i have, it says that the numbers of years i have held my licence for cannot be less than the NCB. But if i only did my car test this year and i did my cbt 3 years ago and my A2 full licence earlier this year then can i still transfer the NCB across?

Thanks for the help guys Thumbs Up

most online quote sites won't be able to understand you having 3 years no claims when you have had your full car license less, best bet is to phone round

No as they come back and tell you that they are from a bike when you send them in and then ask you pay £200 or cancel your policy (is what happened to me and I told them on 2 seperate occasions that they were bike NCBs).

Some companies will but more dont than do

+1.

It may give the game away when you send your proof of NCB off.

Took them almost 2 months. Then on the phone (when they rang me after I had sent them in) I got "well you wouldnt have been covered had you crashed" to which I went crazy and told them about the 2 seperate occasions I had told them they were BIKE NCB.

Still got 85% refund and a writting letting confirming I was covered for the whole period but was a lot of hassle at the time.

Wouldnt do it again unless I had written confirmation that bike NCB were fine.
