Seasonal threads!! Thumbs Up

Here's mine from last year - chiminea/BBQ thingie! They're not very easy to cook on mind, you're better off with the bog standard BBQs Confused

Mine's like that but without the extra gas ring.

I decided after going into Lidl and seeing disposable BBQs for £2 that it's not worth buying a BBQ.

We have one, cost £30, used twice may be, plus you have to buy the coal as well.

Please note the responsible use of a mildly flammable liquid to get things started.

Gas barbeques are pointless. I can gas cook my burgers and chicken in the kitchen thanks.
The art of cooking on coal is a fine one, and a well made skewer chargrilled whilst sipping on a fine cider can not be achieved in anywhere near the same tastyness on a gas job.
Gas barbeque is to charcoal what campervan is to tent. Choir-boy's choice.

Don't have a pic of the BBQ (it's at a mate's house) but I do have a photo of my meat! Embarassed Is in my freezer waiting for a potentially good weekend forecast...may stay in there all summer...

https://farm5.static.flickr.com/4047/4544355130_191c67d502.jpg

What we have there is;
2 half sides of Pork Rib (for making all sticky and smokey)
2kg of Shoulder Lamb (for kebabing)
1 Chicken (for jerking)
and 1kg of minced chuck steak (for burgering)

I'm a bit of a BBQ nazi though, if I'm cooking something on it no other input is allowed - mainly because that usually involves making flames or moving stuff like chicken/pork to the hottest part of the grill because 'its not as warm where you're cooking them, they'll end up raw'...I think I've perfected my 'no, don't do that' dad style facial expression now so I don't even need to move the beer bottle from my lips Laughing
