hi,
i dont remember much about the gp, but i presume it has the usual mikuni vm type carb?
if it is, there fairly easy to dis-assemble.
just remove the carb from the bike.
tip it upside down (dont do this while smoking, as petrol will now be pouring out of the carb onto your trousers, lol)
remove the carb bowl.
you will seee the float assembly & a couple of jets.
the floats hinge on a pivot pin, remove the pin with needle nose pliers.(you might need to tap it out with a suitable punch)
the float arm can now be lifted off/out GENTLY!!! as there is a small "needle valve" hanging off the tang of the float arm.
where this needle valve sits can become clogged up, especially if the bike has been sitting for a while.(all it takes is a couple of grains of sand)
give this orifice & the jets a good spray with carb cleaner & blow through with compressed air.
might also be worthwhile checking the float height while your there.
the floast assembly works like a toilet cystern, lol
ie once the bowl fills up to a certain level, the floats..erm...float & cut off the fuel.
im hoping this is what you meant my "overfueling"?
cheers,
GAZ
edit : just looked on cmsnl & it does indeed look like a vm carb https://www.cmsnl.com/suzuki-gp125-1983-d_model13391/partslist/FIG-05.html
