brought a crm125 today bit tatty but runs pretty well but gets hot pretty quick without thrashing it. its currently got a rear sprocket thats tops it out at 60ish so bin doing 45-50ish at 7-8k revs to keep the revs down a bit to keep it cooler. had no coolant in it it so topped it up, got home from mates about 4 miles away, and half the water had gone and seemed to be leaking. i noticed the coolant top up seal is a bit shagged so maybe leaking under pressure from there? any ideas or help would be great

cheers maully

My Gilera DNA50 leaked from the water pump seals. But as with any leak it could be anywhere, you need to remove as much panels and things in your view as possible, then top it up again and run it.
If your using just water on its own it will boil and give you the impression of a leak.
Buy some coolant after finding your leak pre-mixed or mix yourself, its pretty easy.

2-strokes can leak into the gearbox. Check the oil levels.

jus to make sure is it normal for the water to boil after a 5-10 min ride? or does it sound like there could be a more serious problem?

I'm not sure, but i'd look for a leak, be careful where you take your bike to be fixed. Just a warning.
