Hi,
I managed to split the brake lever clamp. It's cast aluminium (apparently) and it just split when I was tightening it up. Rolling Eyes
I have a temporary fix in the shape of a strip of bent steel quickly fashioned by a mate.

Where can I get a replacement, hopefully without buying an entire reservoir and lever kit as the mirror is mounted on by the cylinder.

The bike is a hyosung cruise 2. The bar is 1 inch diameter and the distance between the bolt holes is about 1 & 7/16 inches as far as I can measure by eye (centre to centre)

Cheers,
Chris

Edit: I've tried breakers and online shops but no good Confused

This is the kind of thing that is not readily available so that you get stung for breaking it by having to buy a whole unit.

Find something similar second hand and use that.

And next time use a more even application of sensible fastener tension to do the job. Thats not the kind of thing that just happens, it is either a hard knock or you were doing it up excessively hard.

Paxovasa: Many thanks for that. Email sent.

jakeeNZ: Granted, lesson learned. It was excessive tightening and I wasn't paying enough attention to the tension.

Very unusual to get a handlebar 1" in diameter (they do exist, but it's usually an oddity on stuff like Harleys).

Most standard motorcycle handlebars are 7/8".

Yeah, I found that problem when I replaced my switch gear - I had to file out the hole a bit more to make it fit

Cheers cb1rocket. What do you mean by Ø1"

The bar is 1" diameter. I've attached a pic with a tape by it to see the diameter needed.

Ø1" means 1 inch diameter Wink

thats the symbol use for diameter. Ø25mm is 25mm diameter etc.

I have seen a few on ebay, might be worth asking the dealer whether they can get them in?
