A mate had an RG500, my ZZR600 had more HP at the time (remember pointing that out to him when he was larging up that he had a mental GP bike!! ) ... IIRC the RG was only good for ~85hp!
It was a lovely beast, but my ZZR WAS actually quicker!! ____________________ The purpose of life is to fight maturity. |

Is that all they were? I have always been under the impression that they were killer fast powerful bikes.
What are the tuning potentials for something like that? Surely only making 74bhp isn't stressing out the motor too much. My 125 2 stroke makes the best part of 30bhp |

Only quote I can find is that the H2 racer produced 100bhp at 9000rpm, with the engines managing 10000rpm. ____________________ Chances are quite high you are not in my Monkeysphere, and I don't care about you. Don't take it personally.

I remember seeing a dyno output for one showing over 120bhp. The output also showed it doubling it's power output in the space of 300rpm, probably why the tires used to last 2 laps |

The V Due is pretty much in the NR750 bracket - specialist collectors bike built in very small numbers, and unlikely to be anything more than a museum piece.
Much more fun and probably more powerful were the tweaked and bored out LC500s and RGs. I once rode an RG570 that had such fearsome power delivery that my hands were completely numb after two minutes (holding on for grim death, terrified of stacking it ).
Nothing can beat the terrifying exhilaration of an H1 at full throttle, though. Power is relative. If they ditched the plastic and started fitting R1s with drum brakes, wire wheels and a pressed steel frame, I might consider buying one ____________________ The RXS100: vehicle of choice for Chuck Norris |
