From current back over the years these are the bikes I've owned, rd and fizzy not my actual bike but same models. Them were the days when you could ride a 250 on L's.
Looking forward to my test now and getting either a Fazer or Diversion, i want the same riding position as the Dero as I'm to old to handle a sportsbike position, would most likely seize up...loll.

I bought my very first bike before even booking my first lesson/CBT. I used it as motivation to hurry up and get my test done.

On the path to my A2.

I had a SX50 (geared Aprilia 2 stroke) Then 17 I i got a DT125, had that for a few months and then passed my test.

Now I've had 6 bikes in 2 and a half years, 4 of which are in my garage now. Laughing

Could say i caught the biking bug.

Yamaha Pasola 50cc

Yamaha 50, version of a C50 but with some funny hi/lo hand gear selector.

Yamaha QT50 a bicycle with an engine.

Honda lead 125

Honda CG125

Honda CB125 superdream

Suzuki Zillion 50cc

Basically a load of old junk Laughing
good times though being 16/17, this was sadly in the mid/late 90's.

YBR after i did cbt (about a day or two after)

Bought an SV650s a month or two before i passed either test. Think i fully bought it just after mod 1 (deposit before) something like that. Few weeks later passed mod 2 and collected it the same day.

I did by full leathers months before CBT though, but that's cuz holiday got in the way and wanted to take cbt straight after i got back off holiday. Laughing

licensing is different here in new zealand,
at 15 you do your learners, and you can have any bike upto 250cc
so mine was
https://62.15.136.154/titokevin/club2t/db/img/1990_RGV250gamma.jpg
if you do driving lessons you cut your learner period from 6 to 3 months
you are still restricted... if you then do a defensive driving course (th=eroy course for 2 nights after school) you cut you time to full licence from 18 months to 9,
so on my 16th birthday i paid for my full licence and traded the death trap in for https://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/Gallery/Kawasaki%20ZXR400F3%2088%201.jpg
which was just as fast but didnt need to be thrashed as much

and thats my biking history from learner to full

its been down hill from there Very Happy

Started (on the road) with a Fizzy. Then I had an RD125LC. Passed my test about six weeks past my 17th birthday and then bought the obligatory 350 Powervalve.

Did my CBT on a YBR, wanted one of those (as you do) to learn on afterwards but I couldn't find one. Spotted a Yamaha Cygnus 125 scooter going for dirt cheap so decided to buy that to get me back on 2 wheels. Ended up keeping that until the following summer when I spotted a DTR going for dirt cheap also (I'm a bit of bargain hunter you see Very Happy) and had that for a few months then passed my test and kept it up until a week ago and sold it at a profit (same with the scooter) Thumbs Up

This is a bit backwards but hey?
I did DAS in 99, and before that i had only ever ridden off road bike's and other peoples 125's who i went to school with.

1, 92, KMX200 99-2000
2, 88, TZR250 2000-2001
3, 97, CG125 2001-2002
4, 2001, ZX6R J1, 2001-2007
5, 2001 Peugeot Speedshite2 100 2002-2004
6, 88, KMX200 brought in 2005 and still own.

Got no plans to get anything else atm, but maybe in 2years when my shares scheme mature's i will look into getting a 1litre+ naked bike. Can't decide if i want something light and that handles like a sportsbike, or a big retro twin shock, with lots of trick parts on it?

Speedfight 50 and RS125

Just sold a RXS100 (brought mainly for the GF) and was telling the guy who brought it that I wished I had a RXS100 before passing my test when 17 instead of the RS125 I had as was a pain in the ass and cost lots when the top-end went.
