Our CG makes 70 (Confirmed on with my GPS) but it's not good for the engine.
60 should be ok though.
26000 is not excessive but it depends on how the engine has been treated through this life.
Hammering when cold, late oil changes, over speeding the engine (changing down too early) and a host of other abusive practices can cause premature wear.
How long have you had the bike?
Get the engine warm, carefully remove the oil dip stick, there should be a bit of smoke/vapour/gas pressure comes out of the hole, but it should not be howling out.
If it is that is a sign of Back Pressure.
It is an expensive repair. Unless you know ho to strip and rebuild an engine.
But you can get a used engine on ebay or somewhere. May be a cheaper/easier option if your engine is gubbed.
Best take it to a bike shop for a proper mechanic to look at. (Maybe several shops and get a better price range.)
Example of a decent engine. Some are maybe no better than wot u got.

I would go with the Oil control Rings and Valve guide are worn. It is a common issue on these bikes anyway after a while.
Check the mixture first though before doing the above. Any good mechanic will do the aovr in an hour so not too expensive to be done.
A compresion check would determine the valve guides ____________________ Previous Bikes: We all start somewhere: Fz50, FS1e, RS100, TS100, MTX125, XT250, XS250,CB250, GT250, GT380, Z250, Z400, GS550, KLR650, KLE500, GP100, GSX250, GS500, GSX600f, XL1000, Zr750, RF900, |

Looks like you're going to have a 4 stroke 2 stroke for a while then ____________________ will never give up his CG. I look at my fuel gauge more as a progress bar than a fuel gauge.
G: With my GSXR I do often effectively use it as a scooter with a clutch in town.
ms51ves3: why does it need 500 miles? Are you teaching it how to be a piston? |

CG's are fantastically cheap but at the risk of sounding like a broken record:
If it's visibly burning oil then the amount of oil in there will not last 2000 miles. Think about it.
And then you'll have a CG that's worth absolutely nothing. Your plan is a good one but check the oil levels more often and everything should be absolutely fine ____________________ will never give up his CG. I look at my fuel gauge more as a progress bar than a fuel gauge.
