things needed:

> chain and sprockets. worn to fuck, not out of adjustment
> no rear brake switch
> very slight play in front wheel bearings.

bike in question is a KTM 520.

now, i think the c+s will slide, as will possibly the bearings and smaller plate

but...

will anywhere pass a bike without a rear brake switch? or is that just taking the piss? i know a few dodgy places but im not sure if they'd be that lenient.

anyone else had one pass with similar?

Have to be very lenient/lax.
Banjo brake light switch for £12.50 delivered on ebay.

Wheel bearings are very cheap if you get the numbers and order the parts directly - think I did my ktm 200 with all four wheel bearings for £6.50 delivered.

Note you have to tape up the front as well and best to tape up the controls too.

Having passed an MOT with taped up lights, can you then remove the tape afterwards? (presumably you can, as MOT only states it's condition at the time of test)

I have removed it straight away after - the only thing you get is an advisory notice saying 'No lights fitted at time of test' which of course can be lost leaving you with a normal MOT certificate.

Obviously, you'd be silly to ride in the dark without working lights.

Another issue is the horn.
Either the one i have doesnt work or the wiring is shagged. Would it pass with an air horn taped to the bars?

I use a battery operated bicycle horn mounted on the bars. It has to be a continuous tone so no old car style horns.

hit my horn with a hammer... Yeah right. Even a slight knock will fuck one up.

Ill just borrow the r6 one thats only slightly fucked after the epic crash and see if it works.
