Hi everyone ! I have an Aprilia rs 125 2005 and half year ago the clutch started to slip when i tried to accelerate fast at high revs. In the beginning, the slipping was small and after a week or two it became hard to ride. Now I bought new (original ROTAX) Friction Clutch Plates, Steel Plates, a Set Of Heavy Duty Springs and gearbox oil. I changed everything according to the rotax engine repair manual and everything seemed to be fine until I drove it... I can't believe even now, after changing everything - no effect ! The clutch slips as before. Please, maybe someone could help me !

Hi

Have you adjusted the clutch? There is an adjuster in the middle of the clutch cover.

All the best

Keith

Gearbox oil 75W80 full synthetic. The clutch cable is almost broken in one place (near the hand lever) but I don't know if this problem is because the cable or is it ?

It could be. Depends if the cable sticks.

All the best

What did the old clutch plates looks like where they worn? I can;t imagine a RS125 living long enough to go through a Clutch TBH, I would get a new cable.
