Will it matter if i use a oil pipe that is about 1mm thinner in (inner) diamater than the original?

I'm talking about the thin pipe which goes from the oil pump to the carb btw.
You can't buy the genuine oil pipe from yamaha anymore which is a bit annoying Confused

Can't wait to get out and test ride the bike after being off the road for so long but i'm taking no chances Laughing

Thanks
Dave

If you know the diameter of the pipe can't you just buy some generic pipe?

Been everywhere and no-one sells it! this stuff i have now is the closest i could find which was from a lawnmower shop.
The outer diamater has to be fairly exact aswell as it passes through a rubber bung.

Hi

The oil pipe is normally a very small bore pipe. Would expect a 1mm difference to be a hell of lot.

You should be able to get some replacement pipe.

Try this

All the best

Keith

Thanks keith,i'll contact them for the outer diamater size.

This clear pipe doesn't seem as strong as the original yamaha pipe which is what's putting me off.
It's quite a tight fit through the rubber bung and if the pipe is too weak it might cut the flow aswell.
