Guys,
My insurance is up for renewal at the end of this month and I was wondering how much you lot are paying to insure your NSR's and where is the cheapest place to go. Any advice?
The cheapest i've been quoted is £645.00 with Ensign based on fully comp, 1 years NCB and on a provisional licence.
Cheers |

Age?...age of bike?...two very vital factors...I'm also assuming that you're on TPFT? ____________________ TiN

Yes, well, I'm 21 (22 next month), and my premium was no where near that...
...having said that, I don't have any NCB, and have only just started riding...and I live in Bristol, which is more expensive that a lot of other places...GRR ____________________ TiN

Mine was £430 TPFT at 20 with no NCB and a prov. 1990 NSR though.

Ok a lot of people won't agree with me here but here goes.
I think of it like this. Why get TPF&T or Fully Comp that are loads more expensive, when you can get TPO. For people like me I don't see the point in anything more than TPO because I only use it for social use, and never leave it anywhere it's gonna get nicked, and if they can get it out my garage (ground anchor, chain, disklock, alarm/immobilizer) then they're welcome to it. I'd rather spend that extra money on getting a better bike, rather than give it to some insurance company who rip you off bigtime, and if it did get nicked they always screw you sideways so they have to pay less, and look for little faults as to void your insurance. I think bollocks to them, I only have insurance because I have to, and until I'm old enough to be able to afford Fully Comp at the drop of a hat I don't see the point. ____________________ A big enough hammer fixes anything! |

P.S. If any of you are insurance brokers, the above 2 comments are for novelty use only, and does not mean you have to deny me insurance on my NC30 in a couple of months time ____________________ A big enough hammer fixes anything! |
