i have a stock Scottoiler atm and only half my chain seem's to be getting lubed.... so i wa slookign at dual injector kits but then saw the 'slipper brick ' for £14 deliverd so i have ordered one. but the question is why did my oiler only oil half the chain was it positioned wrong because now thinkign about it it seems daft if it was only lubign half the chain ...

Because the nozzle is only on one side of the chain, for all their talk about it leeching to the other side of the chain it doesn't unless you place the nozzle above the chain which I did for a while when it broke in spain.

Incidentally the scotoiler kit comes with a T piece you can use with a couple of cable ties to form a two sided oiler if you really want to.

Wouldn`t the setup benefit from the nozzle being sited further forward to the front of the sprocket?

The instructions for the oiler are clear. The injector should mount in front of the sprocket.
A dual injector is best for not much cost.

My oiler is the same, I am not worried about how it looks and I use the bike daily - works for me as not had to adjust since purchased.

Mine is a single sided nozzle like yours, however my chain is littered with stuck links and is due replacement...

I am looking into bodging a dual nozzle outlet for it to protect both sides of the new chain.

EDIT: wtf is a slipper brick?

Slipper block, you mean.

It fits all the way around the chain and attaches to the bottom of the swing arm:

If your flow rate and applicator position are set correctly then both sides of the chain will recieve oil eventually, even though it is only directed at the outside with the nozzle. Don't ask me how - it just happens! Very Happy
