I can't get them to fit correctly.

I believe their sat right, have the bottom on and the top sat in, When i stick the sanction through and put the dust cap on i can get the locking tab/bolt thing on. Its almost like their too long.

I've got tapered roller bearings from the bike shop made by koyo or someone. instead of the ball bearing i took out.

Anyone had a similar problem and any tips. I need to get it back on its wheels. Its taking up the center of the garage. Sad

Thanks

Jack Karma

What did you use to drive them in? Are you sure they're all the way in? Sounds like you have only got them part way in.

The lower bearing go hit down with a hammer and the old bearing inner race, The lower outer race got hit into the frame with a copper hammer. The top race got hit in with a piece of exhaust pipe that fitted on the outer race and driven down.

Why is it when you want to do something quickly it take for ever. Rolling Eyes

When I did mine, I just tightened the adjuster massively to draw the bearings fully into place, then loosened it back off to the correct adjustment. Worked very well Smile
