i think its the 016 now.

Never had a bridgstone that was bad, so i bet you couldnt go wrong. Last Bridgys i had were 020s and they were great tyres.

Back in the day Bridgestone used to be good. Unfortunately they have now been surpassed by Michelin and Pirelli from what I can tell. I've never had a Michelin myself but you hear nothing but praise from them in the motorcycle press.

However, my favourite tyres are Pirellis. Particularly the Pirelli Diablo and Diablo Corsa. They grip from cold, give good feel, good rates of wear and have good ultimate grip.

The more recent Bridgestones I've had just seem to not give any warnings or hints to the rider about grip. They just seem to be remote until they let go and have you on your backside.

Personal reccomendation? Pirelli Diablo Corsas.

I hope you're really Chuck Norris AJ otherwise it doesn't matter which tyres you have as you will not be able to handle the immense power of which the '98 R1 unleashes...

You were lucky it let you ride it home last night without ripping your arms off, it must either like or pity you...

You had a real opportunity to say something genuinely funny there with all of the '98 R1 setup, but you blew it like a biggun.

I'm going to agree with MarJay. I just went from Continental Road Attacks to a pair of Pirelli Diablo Stradas and although I've only done about 40 miles on them so far (they were done yesterday), I already feel much more confident going into corners. Granted, this is probably done to my previous tyres being really worn, regardless, the feel great so far.

I've got my Corsa IIIs on my GSXR1000 and liking them - shorter life than the 016s, but grippier. The rear is dual compound, so should mean a bit more life.

Think I've only done 1000 miles or so, mostly commuting and distance, but they still have a reasonable profile which is a good start for sticky rubber.

I have these on mine. Seem to give enough feedback and grip so far. Although they square off pretty quickly as they are quite soft. Shocked

You obviously dont know that chuck norris rides a H2. A H2 he made into a chop. A US style chop with no front brake, because front brakes are not manly.
