The previous owner had fitted a bike computer.

The sensor was mounted to the caliper and the magnet to the rim with some sort of black double-sided tape.

I replaced the calipers and am now looking to re-fit the sensor.

Am I correct in assuming that the car badge/number plate double-sided tape would be the correct stuff to use?

Double sided tape will hold it in place, or you can just use one of these. Smile

Cable-ties aren't that helpful in sticking plastic to an alloy brake caliper.

The magnet is already in place so I'll re-fit the sensor in the original position.

Give it a go, maybe a cable tie to catch it if the adhesive fails from heat though Thumbs Up .

Whats the bike comp on there for?
Does it give any advantages over the stock clocks etc?
Cover for malfunctioning clocks?

Just curious how useful these can be Smile

Best regards

I'm using it as back-up for the speedo.

The Sigma I've got seemed accurate when I used it before. ie. consistently reading a couple of mph below the analogue speedo, even at motorway speeds.

In that case it's actually more accurate then your analogue speedo, as they over read. Confused Laughing

I know, hence me saying that it seemed accurate

Adjusting the circumference value up would result in the computer speedo over-reading slightly, for a margin of error.
