laptop requires 19v 3.42A

the only charger i have for it pushes
20v 3.25A

it will be okay until i get the right one this week yeah?

IMO its under powered so will overheat badly.

Lower ampage should be okay, it will just charge at at slower rate. Voltage being over is a problem.

No, not necessarily. If the laptop tries to pull more current then not only is the power brick going to get hot and probably break, the voltage into the laptop will end up decreasing too. It's not going to do it any good.

Having said that, it's highly unlikely that the laptop will end up pulling the full 3.42A anyway.

The 1 volt over is technically a problem, but it will probably be fine being a volt over.

It'll probably all be fine. But there's a chance you'll break something.

Knackering a power supply is an inconvenience. Knackering a laptop is alot worse. Chances are it's 19v for a reason.
