Always wondered about this.. but just interested to see riders preference Laughing

Do you have your gloves tucked under your jacket, or do you have your jacket into your gloves..

Works with some of my gloves i find the gloves just a tad to short for the jacket to go in.. so it ends up coming out mid ride..

But with it tucket inside on a cold day, you get a draught right up your arm Razz Very Happy

Textiles are usually quite bulky and the gloves will only fit under them and usually have a velcro on the outside of the textile jacket to secure it over the gloves.

Leathers are usually too tight to fit anything under them and gloves almost always go over the top.

Always over. Whatever the weather or glove or jacket.

I don't have a Crosser/Harley.

^ What Jay Recoil Says... with leathers I always find they go over, with textiles under seems to work better.

I have found - but it depends on the gloves, i had one pair which went over textiles which i think helped with rain a little.

The only jackets I have are textiles, and my Alpinestars SP-1 gloves ALWAYS go over the top of the jacket cuffs

[edit] I've tried tucking them inside once or twice, but it just doesn't feel "natural" for me, and it actually distracted me from concentrating on my riding.

Over the jacket cuffs. Tried putting them inside once, the carbon bits dug into my wrists and water seeped up inside when i was riding.

Over.....

Wind blows over your hands therefor if you tuck the gloves under the cuff water will get forced up your arm.

Just remember not to drop your hands by you side when wet, as the water will run down your arm into the gloves.

Over, keeps the wind out, it hard sometimes for find a glove that is long enough though, I find, the fashion seems to be for shorter ones.

Gloves 'over' for both leathers and textiles. I find it irritating moving my arms around and the jacket catching on the gloves if tucked in, whereas somehow the jacket can move ok when gloves are over the top of the cuff Confused

Whereas with boots, it's over the top for leathers and trail/enduro kit (that's troos inside boots!!) but with textiles they go over the boots, else the rain trickles down inside - shudder!! Shocked

HTH!!

no chance of tucking my gloves into my jacket, the sleeve cuff are too tight for that and it would be impossible to do while wearing the gloves, someone would have to help.

Gloves under...purely because they aren't wide enough to go over.

Leather jacket - gloves over
Textile jacket - gloves under or over depending on the weather, over in the summer but under in the rain or winter as water runs down my goretex jacket into the gloves Rolling Eyes

Only have textile trousers/jeans at the minute so boots always under + I wear short boots anyway so don't think they would work too well with leathers Laughing

Gloves over jacket.

Jeans over boots, unless it's raining, as then I have my jeans tucked in and my waterproofs trousers over.
