Always wondered about this.. but just interested to see riders preference
Do you have your gloves tucked under your jacket, or do you have your jacket into your gloves..
Works with some of my gloves i find the gloves just a tad to short for the jacket to go in.. so it ends up coming out mid ride..
But with it tucket inside on a cold day, you get a draught right up your arm ____________________ A2 Passed 18/6/10 |

The only jackets I have are textiles, and my Alpinestars SP-1 gloves ALWAYS go over the top of the jacket cuffs
[edit] I've tried tucking them inside once or twice, but it just doesn't feel "natural" for me, and it actually distracted me from concentrating on my riding. ____________________ 1st bike (Sept'06 - May'10) : 1991 GPZ500S / Current bike (since Nov 2009) : 2003 Suzuki Bandit 600N

Over.....
Wind blows over your hands therefor if you tuck the gloves under the cuff water will get forced up your arm.
Just remember not to drop your hands by you side when wet, as the water will run down your arm into the gloves. ____________________ Just because my bike was A DIVVY, does not mean i am...... |

Gloves 'over' for both leathers and textiles. I find it irritating moving my arms around and the jacket catching on the gloves if tucked in, whereas somehow the jacket can move ok when gloves are over the top of the cuff
Whereas with boots, it's over the top for leathers and trail/enduro kit (that's troos inside boots!!) but with textiles they go over the boots, else the rain trickles down inside - shudder!!
HTH!!

Leather jacket - gloves over
Textile jacket - gloves under or over depending on the weather, over in the summer but under in the rain or winter as water runs down my goretex jacket into the gloves
Only have textile trousers/jeans at the minute so boots always under + I wear short boots anyway so don't think they would work too well with leathers ____________________ ZX6R F3 |
