You are only on a local anaesthetic then? So you can't feel the eye itself but surely you can feel the rest of it. Whats in place to stop the laser damaging the retina?

I beat you all who watched the video.. I've had it done!!

You don't feel a thing! Even the potato peeler! And it's s really short procedure with very High tech equipment that readjusts itself 200 times a second to maintain the lasers position on the cornea.

And for the record, all you see looking into the laser is a flashing red light about 18 inches above your face

jeez, i thought it was bad when i had to get my eye stitched up, that looks like torture more then surgery

used to work with a gent who got it done, i didn't even know he wore glass in the past till i found a old team photo.
he said he vision was perfect now

I know the RAF won't allow you to be a pilot if you have had laser eye surgery.

Apparently it can be detrimental to your night vision, I will have it done but in 20 years or so, when the longer term issues are found. .

I was speaking to a bloke at work about this video as he has had the proceedure. He hadn't seen the video and had very little idea of what it involved . He also said he paid extra to prevent the blurred night vision.
