I want to get this tattoo done, ive got it in my head and have been thinking about it for a few years, i just can't put it onto paper.

Was wondering if someone could help and try drawing up a few design and i can alter them myself, i just can't get the general idea down on paper.

Its a tattoo to go across top of my back.

Id like a landscape scroll, with the words: Veni Vidi Vici inside it.

Its nothing to fancy i may add to it later, but if people could help me out with the basic design would be much appreciated, i can draw a bit just not how id like it.

Much karma and thanks given, maby even paypal/send some money if its very good design.

Much thanks,
Jay.

That, sir is a gay idea for a tat, IMO. Not quite as bad as my friend's 'Carpe Diem', but pretty close.

L3G3ND - Really sorry to partially "Steal" your thread... but if anyone artistically minded woudl mind drawing me a "tribal" style sports bike, with the initials MLW somehow worked into it - i'd be etternally greatful ! Karma

Try google images search, there are loads.
Some illustrate why it's not a good idea - this looks OK though.

I don't care if you don't care that I think it's gay, nor do I care that you want me to keep my opinions to myself. I'll do what I like, thanks. Razz

I might scribble something later, and take a photo with my camera (as I don't have a scanner). Unless someone gets there first.

*Clanger clearly in need of a scanner*

I'm not sure why you need an artist to do a mock up for you tbh.

Just go to any high street tattooist and say "I would like [insert text here] tattooed in a banner". He will probably show you banners from his books.

Tattooists tend to be a bit funny about copying things 100% and change it anyway. Laughing

I'm an artist by trade and I found your idea refreshing and so iI have attached my own draft.

I thought the landscape part was shit, so I've added hearts to show the chicks that you are caring and the flying skulls from Doom fighting the dragon from the dungeons and dragons cartoon to show you are badass to peeps at bike meets. There is also an mp5 so you are down with the black folk Thumbs Up

Here you go...how about these...? Best thing to do is play around with the fonts you like, trying them out in upper and lower case (or combination)...till you know what you want...then take both the image you like and the font typed out to the size you want it across your back to the tattooist, and they should do the rest. Thumbs Up

What sort of style do you draw? I'm looking for someone who can do back and grey devil/gargoyle type art to fill some gaps in my arm but looking for something a little different not the usual run of the mill stuff.

Anything really...anything I put my mind to.

A lot of my stuff has gone onto people I know... so either I give the drawing as a gift or at a reduced rate. Usually there is a bit of tooing and froing with the design, tweaking and such, so face-to-face meets are often a good idea. Plus they can show me the sort of thing they like and explain what they'd like altered to fit their taste, that sort of thing.

I have designed a fair bit of cover work.

So believe you need to be really sure about what you want, though from what you say, you need fillers...do you have particular artists whose work you admire?? It might be worth you scooting about, looking and collecting images, and then explaining to your tattooist, as they are usually the best people to speak to regarding what will work with your existing design. Which will be a damn sight easier than explaining it all via the 'net. Idea

Thank you clanger for being genuinley helpfull, im just playing with the idea nd seeing what happens at the moment, i may not even get it done, ive wanted it done for a long time just fussing over the design to go with the saying.

Im sure alot of you think its the total ghey and a bit shit, but then to be honest its what i personally like, if we all liked the same thing would be a boring place eh.

ill go to a tattooist and see what they can sketch up and see what they think might be a good idea, the scroll idea is'nt something set, just did'nt want plain lettering on its own.

Hmm maybe some bad ass unicorns with guns around it? or swastika's? haha

Cheers Clanger,

I don't have a particular tattooist in mind at the moment. I don't want to go to one tattooist and get them to draw up as I would then feel obliged to use them to do the work. I would rather get the art and take it around various tattoo places and see what they say. It may be a little ass backwards way of doing things i guess Laughing

And yes you are right, im after a lot of filler work Laughing
