Not that i'm much of an electrical wizz kid or anything but the first thing I would be checking for is a loose earth somewhere
Also with the headlights are you sure the right light isn't just a high beam which is why it wasn't working for the rest of the day?

Hi
If you have a spark and fuel then that is the basics. So first question is do you have fuel getting to the engine? There are probably a filter or 2 in the system and possible that if the bike has been unused for a while that some water has got into the fuel system (quite often you only find out about this when you switch to reserve).
From memory the RS50 ignition system doesn't put out the brightest spark around anyway.

hi thanks for answers.
tried checking earth on neg on battery still nothing. Iv cleaned everything i can find to clean on the bike still no avail.
everything is secure and no chance of being loose
sadly there is no reserve tank ( I know of !) as such.
getting more and more frustrated with it  |
