hey all..

just aquired a 99' elyseo 100 for the grand sum of ?0 Thumbs Up

saw it on its side in my friends neighbours garden. was looking slightly tatty (although further inspection it seems to be half decent condition Thumbs Up ) Anyhow few weeks went by and eventually I went round and asked the guy if he wanted it. (had an idea he probably didnt since weeds had started to grow around it..) anyway he said heres the keys, take it..! Mr. Green Thumbs Up

one thing he said though was if you can sort the electrics then its a good bike.. (rear wheel is seized but im fairly sure its not a seized top end cos the engine turns a little.. its hard to tell though with knackered teeth on the kickstart sprocket)

Now I used to own a speedfight 100 and apart from cosmetics these are near on exactly the same. fron what I remember, these pieces of french junk have immobilisers, and from what the guy was saying I got a feeling he is locked out of the immobiliser and I only got one of the black keys (which isnt original either but works on the locks..)

Is there an easy way to bypass the immobiliser without having to spend ?60 on ebay for a bypass? My sparky mate thinks theres a relay in the control box but they are sealed units I belive..

cheers all..hopefully get this one up and running... spend ?200 or so (including a new topend if needed) and then out it for ?600 after the missus has had her go on it....

Yep, there is a way round it, i had the same issue with a bike i bought to sell on.

ill find the link, basicly you need the older style CDI box with no imob, and abit of chopping in the wiring harness.

Try this

could be anything.
check your fuel and air lines for blockages. carbs blocked?
don't really know anything about scooters but an engine is an engine.

might be the immobiliser, they don't stop the bike from actually starting, they stop the bike from revving up high enough to drive

u sure cos an imob is meant to stop an engine from starting/running by not allowing it to spark...

btw I sorted the problem. I had half a key with the key for the ignition and I thought as it wasnt the original pug key that it was just a snapped key. turns out it has the chip in it to deactivate the imob...

saved me loads of hassle..

on the later type ACI100 immobiliser fitted to speedfight 2 definately, never worked on the earlier model ACI400 fitted to speedfight 1 so no idea about them

By the way when we looked there is no spark at all. The red light for it is 100% solid. Maybe the wet has caused it or something.

With the newer imobilser how can this be fixed?
