My RG125 wolf still has problems. I have cleaned the carb out & replaced all the jets & the jet needle & the float height is spot on. It seems like between 6000-8000rpm it bogs as there's too much fuel getting in as the plug gets wet. After replacing the jets & needle the bike does now run better but once in the powerband it tops out at 85mph & that's downhill. I'm still not convinced the fault isn't electrical there is a bright spark but I'm no expert. I have replaced the CDI, coil & stator/magneto so I'm at a loss as to why it won't run correctly. Any help much appreciated cheers! Thumbs Up

Anyone? Could really use some help peeps. I forgot to mention that the stator/magneto were secondhand could this be at fault? The pickups are part of the loom that is attached to the generator/magneto.

Sounds like it could well be ignition related. Presumably the coil and HT lead are sound, new plug tried, air mixture screw correctly set, oil pump setting fine, choke operating and closing properly, no tank breather blockage? If none of those things are an issue, check the stator components and CDI with a multimeter. Also make sure the wiring is sound and undamaged. If the stator is s/hand and it came from a breakers, it could well have sat in a dirty box for years and might need an attack of WD and a clean up. Might also be worth giving the ignition switch a check over as occasionally a corroded or damaged wire/contact can lead to similar issues.

Cheers. I haven't replaced the HT cap although I did do a test, I took it off & attached the coil lead directly to the spark plug & the bike still ran the same. I'll get a new generator gasket & put the original generator back in see if that does anything. Thumbs Up
