 |

Hi
I recently filled up and reset my clocks, then rode what goggle reckons is around 27 miles, but odometer reads high 30's? (not 100% what it read but it was definately higher than what it should of been).
I'm new to this biking malarky so apiologies if its something simple i'm overlooking.
It's a Suzuki EN125-2, could it be reading in kilometers?

Hi
Possible. Depends how far out it is. I wouldn't take the readings from Google to be that accurate (ie, presume they are rounded to the nearest 100m for each section, so possibly each one almost 50m out, 20 sections could be a 1km error), nor would I expect you to keep to the route (ie, swerve all over the road and you will travel further), and I wouldn't be at all surprised if the odometer over read by a small amount. If it was 30 miles recorded then I would be inclined to double check on another route if I was bored by not be over concerned. If it was 37 miles recorded then I would want to know what was going on.
Does your speedo read from the front sprocket? Is the bike running standard gearing?
All the best
