It's been a little while since I was a regular poster on BCF and since that time, I've cut down on the bikes I've had in my collection.

Gorgeous pics of gorgeous bikes-to say I'm a wee bit jealous doesn't cover it! That Daytona is just sexy.

Daytona reminds me massively of the R6 which i've been drooling over for the past year. Must say, out of the three, the VFR looks the most tempting. absolutely stunning, colour scheme coupled to an imperfection free body. oooft. NICE BIKES! Very Happy

What treatment have you used on the Triumph and how has it faired up corrosion wise, assuming it's seen any adverse weather?

Little bit too monchrome for my liking but nice bikes. Thumbs Up

So since I was there you got rid of the XL and the blade?

When you get the 675, I would love one of those.....

I'm VERY jealous 675 and the NC30 are two of my favourite bikes of all time.

And to find you had a 954, again my favourite blade. Lucky sod...

Also if you want to get rid of that NC30 anytime soon let me know Thumbs Up Wink

It would be no good to you though that NC30! Just look at it, it's way to spotless to ride! It would probably look nice in your living room, but better still in mine TBH! Laughing

Thanks chaps. Thumbs Up

It's a weird feeling to be finally, more or less, satisfied after chopping and changing so many bikes in recent years. Other than the possibility of taking up green laning or something, I feel the collection's complete.

Hi Andy, hope the Superfour's okay, still kinda miss that bike.... yep, the XR went up for sale shortly after you picked up the 400. The DRZ went next, got a little money my way after trading it in for the 250. Was a lot of fun, but just not built to withstand too much winter abuse, plus the imitation saddle became a little unbearable after 40 miles or so...

I finished tidying the Blade, got the suspension how I wanted it, fresh set of tyres, etc, then spent a couple of weeks riding ballistic on the way to work - then couldn't help but ride it stupidly at the weekend. Speed was too easy without even realising it half the time. It had to go.

I was thinking about getting something different than a Japanese plastic fantastic, something like a Ducati or an Aprilla, maybe a KTM or something, but the 675 came up for sale and they have been bikes I'd had an eye on since they came out.

Bit different to get to grips with than a sit-on-and-go Japanese bike, but I can see potential for a more lasting ownership.

The 675's not as well made as a Japanese bike, say my R6 or CBR I've had previously. One of the reasons I haven't bought British sooner. I doubt the bike's seen much rain, given the fastidious nature of the previous owner, something I intend to uphold. I haven't bought it as a wet weather commuter, the 250's got that duty, but nevertheless, I've treated the 675 to a nice dose of an ACF50 and Zymol concoction.

It's been with me for nearly 3 weeks now. Fell for the looks and soundtrack, plus the pride it gives me to own and ride the thing. The colour scheme fitting into the rest of the fleet was a bit of a bonus too.

you know you got issues when the colours of the bikes you own have to compliment each other Laughing .

Really nice bikes you got there, the 675 has been on my wish list for ages, unfortunately, having one would mean chopping in the cbr, i just couldnt imagine a life without my cbr in it, way too attached to that thing Neutral

How much did you pay for the 675 if you don't mind me asking?

The prices seem to have shot up!

That 675 is a groin grabbingly nice bike. I saw someone on the white and blue '10 model the other day, I felt like following him and telling him how awesome it was.

£5750, limited edition (late old shape model, fancy seat, carbon, certificate) with 3k on the clocks from a dealer.

Lovely noise on the way to work today as the weather was good, although I'm still adapting to the tall riding position (especially after taking the '30 out yesterday).

Thumbs Up

Depending on which year you have take a look at the routing for the piperwork underneath the tank. Or this could happen! Shocked https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O4hYXoMga6g

Have a read of the thread. They beleive it's actually started from the reg/rec overheating due to it's placement near the exhaust. Not sure that it will happen in blighty's climate, seems to me the problems have been noticed primarily in dry arid areas of America. Also it's beleived the later reg/rec's have been altered to avoid this happening.
