help with exhaust sinnis apache 125

i own a sinnis apache 125. im currently upgrading it.

i have a mikoni carb (however its spealt) with k&n pod air filter with the standered airbox removed, its also been rejetted. well recommended BTW!!

so here is my problem. i have got a endurence performance slip on race can, i know it will fit with some adjustments, BUT! i want a stainless steel downpipe not the one that comes with it as its s***e!
this can will go up to 35mm. i have looked on ebay and only one person is selling a stainless steel downpipe and can, but he wont sell seprate. this seller also says it wont fit on the drum brake model (this is my model, the 08 version)

can someone please explain why the brakes affect the downpipe, even better were i can get a stainless steel downpipe for my much loved and very quick sinnis apache 125?

EDIT: i am currently spraying the plastic panels matt black. i rubbed them down and gave them a primer and i been rubbing down with wet and dry between coats, the top coat is coming out blotchy like it has wax or something on and its cracking all over. HELP!

Um, the brakes won't affect the diameter/fitting points of the exhaust at all, unless there's some utterly perverse* pipe routing involved.
If there's a difference in model year, then sometimes minor changes are made. However, the easiest way to check would be to sight-compare the mounting points between your stock one and this guy's aftermarket one, and to check the pipe diameters.
What's the rush for a stainless one, anyway? Yours can't have rusted through yet, surely? I know it's a chinese bike, but that would be reality-bendingly fast corrosion, unless you keep it in a salt water tank, or something.
Keep the pipe you've got for now, unless you've got the money and the itching need to use it.
If you're worried about surface corrosion, keep it doused in ACF50 or something similar.


*i.e. including the extra four feet needed to make it interfere with the rear brake.

there is no real rush i just think it would look sweet! lol. it hasnt rusted through yet but i doubt it will be long as its caked in it already. could i use some good old hammerite on it or will it catch fire/melt off?

ok so its not that fast. top speed of 60mph

but getting there i will kill anything in the same class

and thanks for the rust idea i will give it a shot or just try hammerite and see what happens lol.

and i will also check oput the parts for the multi named sinnis apache

You can get high-temperature paint from Halfords, or some similar car/bike shop. You should only really need the one can, if all you're spraying is the exhaust pipe.

The acceleration is pretty good compared to a cg, certainly - the gearing's much shorter. Don't misread my cynicism - I enjoy my one, purely because of it's sillybastard appeal - it feels massively inappropriate as a 125, and i love that

:edit: incidentally, it looks like I've been contradicted in your general bike chat post, so it may be worth phoning CMPO and asking if the exhaust is any different between the disc version and the drum version.
CMPO are the main importers of Chinese bikes, and they're pretty helpful - I've phoned them up in the past, and they've always been pretty good to me.
