So after a week and a half on the bike I'm feeling far more confident. I think I was looking too much at the road right in front of my wheel rather than in the direction I wanted to go, which meant I was too upright for cornering, and was either too slow and wobbly, or too fast a running wide. As soon as I started looking into the bends, it all became much easier!
Been cut up a few times, but I saw it coming a mile off so was ready with my thumb on the horn to make them know I wasn't best pleased!
Now, I'm considering doing DAS in a few weeks. Am I running before I can walk here, or is it more a case of "if you think you can, you can"? I can afford it just now, so I'm thinking I might as well go for it. What do you BCF'ers think?
Finally, how much would you pay for an intensive DAS course? Being a bit of a bike newbie I was hoping to do some training days first followed by the tests. I've been quoted £849 for 5 days which includes bike and insurance, and if I don't pass first time it includes free training and bike hire for my next one. Sounds a lot but I have no idea.
I've also been quoted £100 per 3hrs of DAS lessons from another company which sounds a bit more like how I learnt to drive, paying as I go.
Thanks in advance. ____________________ _______________

Lovely runaround there, do the DAS buy the week course as that's a cracking deal with the pass guarantee. I spent just over a grand on mine and went cbt - mod 1- year out from training - mod 2 with no previous biking experience, not riding in the year out. 8 days training in total, plus the exam days.
Get it done now and just have it for when you want something a bit bigger, plus regulations are changing in october once again so better to get it before even more restrictions come in ____________________ 2008 VFR800 VTEC |
